Ridge Vineyards Tasting
Fri September 15, 2017 5-7pm
We are happy to host a tasting of wines from California’s Ridge Vineyards on Friday September 15, 2015 from 5-7pm. Some of the vineyards that make up today’s Ridge Vineyards were started as far back as 1885 at their Monte Bello location in the Santa Cruz Mountains. The modern Ridge Vineyards were established in the early 1960s and garnered international recognition for its Monte Bello Cabernet Sauvignon in the Judgement of Paris in 1976. Look for us to taste the 2014 Monte Bello later this fall.
Ridge is also known for their amazing Zinfandels producing their first Zinfandel in 1964. Beginning in 1966, the winery began sourcing some grapes for its Geyserville Zinfandel and other wines from vineyards in Sonoma County. Ridge is celebrating 50 years of Geyserville production with the bottling we are going to have at our tasting. In 1991, Ridge Vineyards purchased the Lytton Springs vineyard in the Dry Creek Valley AVA. The winery produces wine at both the Monte Bello and Lytton Springs locations.
We love Ridge wines and are so happy to have this great and very select lineup of wines that are rarely tasted in this area. We will be featuring:
Ridge 2015 Santa Cruz Estate Chardonnay
Ridge 2015 Pagani Ranch Zinfandel
Ridge 2015 Lytton Springs
Ridge 2015 Geyserville 50th Anniversary
Ridge 2015 Lytton Springs Estate Petite Sirah
There is a $5 fee/person for this tasting event that is applied to the purchase of these wines. Any wines purchased from the tasting may be served without a corkage fee on the night of the tasting.
