Roccafiore Wine Tasting
Friday February 9, 2018 5-7pm
Luca Baccarelli from Roccafiore of Umbria is visiting the United States and will be at Morso on Friday February 9 from 5-7pm with our friend Jack Chase. All wines from the estate are organic (with EU certification) and made from native grapes: Grechetto di Todi, Trebbiano Spoletino, Sangiovese, Sagrantino and Montepulciano.
For Roccafiore, the quality of the environment is as much of a production factor as any other: the soil, climate, grape variety and growing techniques. Roccafiore is one of the first Italian winegrowers to choose solar panels to generate its own electrical power, potentially saving 90,000 Kg of carbon emissions per year. The environmentally friendly choices of Roccafiore also encompasses the use of lighter bottles, biofuels for all the tractors and additional water saving measures. We will be featuring:
Roccafiore Bianco Fiordaliso Todi Grechetto IGT
Roccafiore Fiorfiore Umbria Grechetto IGT
Roccafiore Montefalco Rosso DOC
Roccafiore Montefalco Sagrantino DOCG
Roccafiore Rosso Melograno Todi Rosso IGT
There is a $5 fee/person for this tasting that is applied to the purchase of these wines. Any wines purchased from the tasting may be served without a corkage fee on the night of the tasting.
